Certificate of Good Conduct Duration 2019

Hi Guys,

I would like to share my experience of applying for a certificate of good conduct from the Ministry of Foreign Affair Malaysia (Kementerian Luar Negeri).

First time apply this one for my working VISA. I try to search the Internet the whole progress it will take (just to get an estimate) since my employer rushing me like crazy @.@.

I get a few hits from Youtube and also blog but that quite an old entry.

As for June 2019, I apply the certificate of good conduct via the KLM website (https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my/) on 9th June 2019. My certificate is ready for collection on the 3rd of July 2019. The whole process took 18 days working days. Do take note that to bring your acknowledgement receipt when going to the Wisma Putra for the collection. Don’t forget to save the acknowledgement receipt once you are in the pending list for the certificate to be issued. Once the certificate been issued, you will have difficulty in viewing the acknowledgement receipt.

During the time, I made a few calls to KLN asking about the progress even though the website clearly stated that the process will take a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 2 months. Based on unofficial talk with the staff, the fastest for the certificate to be released is within 21 days.

It really differs from what I read from other blog or Youtube video. I feel really stressful with the long waiting time moreover if you are applying it for your freelance jobs.
