Pesta Wau Antarabangsa Kelantan 2 – 4 Jun Pantai Geting, Tumpat
Pada tahun ni, aku berpeluang untuk melawat Pesta Wau Antarabangsa Kelantan bertempat di Pantai Geting, Tumpat. Berasa excited kerana ini kali pertama pergi walaupun berusia 1/4 dekad.
Info penting yang ingin dikongsikan adalah:
- Datang awal-awal kerana jalan masuk jem gila dan parking susah nak dapat. Bayangkan kereta perlu beratur 1 jam baru dapat parking.
- Parking percuma agak susah nak dapat. Tapi ada penduduk yang buat bisness parking kat halaman rumah diorang. Harga tak ingat berapa.
- Bawa tikar atau surat khabar siap-siap
- Bawa payung sebab kemungkinan susah nak dapat tempat berteduh
- Tapau makanan siap-siap sebelum datang sini
Overall rating adalah 8/10, wau tak berapa banyak (maybe sebab time sampai dah lewat – dekat-dekat Maghrib). Isu parking dan jalan nak masuk agak kecil (kawalan polis trafic tiada/ agak lemah). Harap-harap tahun depan Jabatan Pelancongan Kelantan boleh menambah baik perkara ini. Pengalaman aku sendiri, pernah pergi Pesta Wau dekat Johor, lokasi dan pengurusan adalah lebih teratur.

Applying mathematical operation on satellite image is an important processing step in remote sensing project. Lots of software such as MATLAB, ENVI, ERDAS and PCI Geomatica enable users to carry out these operation . However, the user interface and how to implement the operation into the software make them different with one another. Some software required basic knowledge of programming while other give more user-friendly and easier interface for the beginner. Above all software, one of the easiest software to perform simple mathematical operation on satellite images is by using ENVI.
In ENVI, the tools is called band math. (Basic Tool>Band Math)
Band math in ENVI enable user to perform basic mathematical operation, trigonometric function and other option such as Boorlean and relational operators. Today, i like to share about the list of mathematical band math operation in ENVI.

The basic input-output system (BIOS) has many purposes and the most important is to set the priority for the boot order (laptop formatting). If you cannot access to the BIOS, then the laptop cannot be formatted unless there is preinstalled recovery in the system. Your winsock registry might corrupted due to virus attack or computer software that use winsock to operate (i.e OpenVPN).
Corrupted or missing winsock registry will restricted your computer from getting Internet connection.
There are two cases involved in fixing the winsock problem.
Case 1: Corrupted winsock registry
In this case, the winsock registry is still there however it just corrupted and need to be reset back. For this case, you just need to download Winsock Fix.
Case 2: Winsock registry is missing.
This is the worst case. You/the software accidentally/purposely deleted the winsock registry in regedit. In this case, you need to restore back the registry. In order to do this, you need to copy similar registry from your friends computer and paste it into your computer.

After download the registry, double click both files to run it. Then, follow case 1 (Winsock fix) to solve the problem.
Finally, make sure to restart your computer after finish resetting your Winsock.

Lidar is the an acronym to light detection and ranging. Lidar uses billions of reflected light beams to map the topography. In Malaysia, Lidar is already been used for many applications mainly in transportation, disaster management, hydrology and telecommunications utilities. During this week, news reported that forest fires happen at Sumatra, Indonesia which cause dangerous haze (API more than 300) at Singapore and some part of Johor, Malaysia.
By using remote sensing (RS) satellites, important atmospheric and land parameters such as LST (land surface temperature), wind direction, and aerosol optical thickness / air pollution index (API) can be retrieved to determine:
1. Location of forest fires
2. Direction of smoke
3. The hazardous level of haze .

From the image of API above (retrieved on 21 June 2013), Muar and Pasir Gudang are both within Johor reported more than 300 API (Very unhealthy). According to news report, Malaysia government already closed down schools at the haze affected areas. By history, the highest API value ever recorded was 839 in Kuching on 23 September 1997 during the 1997 Southeast Asian Haze.
